Chocolate Experience: tasting and visit

Ellegi is synonymous with craftsmanship since 1982. Special products that stand out for the high quality of raw materials, for the processing still carried out by hand in some steps and for the link with the Umbrian territory and the tradition of chocolate.

The pralines… A dark chocolate shell that contains a soft filling with an intense flavor.
The dragées… A classic of the European tradition: a greedy heart with the most varied ingredients covered with dark, milk and white chocolate.
The spreadable creams, soft and with an intense taste, suitable for palates of all ages.
…and then bars, sticks, ingots, liqueurs, cut chocolate… All this and much more, to be tasted immediately at the Ellegi Laboratory!

Guided tour to discover the territory of Polvese Island
between history, nature and culture for visitors, families and groups.

An itinerary to appreciate the history and nature of the island by visiting the Medieval Castle, built to defend the ancient village, the small Church of San Giuliano with frescoes from the 15th century Umbrian school, the Holm Oak Wood of San Leonardo with its imposing trees.
By visiting the island at different times of the year it will be possible to enjoy the area when seasonal changes are accompanied by rhythms, colors, echoes and resonances of water, earth, air and fire.

Take a seat in front of a table set with colors and traditions and immerse yourself in the wonderful world of Bacchus!

Walking slowly through the vineyards is an experience in an environment that has preserved characteristics that are no longer legible elsewhere, it is to take care of that slow time of the vineyard, of the grapes, of the cellar, of the wine.

The experience includes a guided tour of the cellar, a walk in the vineyard and an explanation of the cultivation and winemaking techniques and the little secrets for a good wine tasting.

  2. Trasimeno Wine Tasting: 8 wines paired with mixed croutons and a cold cuts platter

Sensory Tastings at Poggio Santa Maria: a grandfather’s heritage

Massimiliano inherited the passion for organic wine from his grandfather. On a splendid hill on the border between Umbria and Tuscany, Poggio Santa Maria was born from an innate passion for land and nature. Massimiliano, a young doctor, has rediscovered his vocation for the countryside, thinking that good food and good drink are important elements for prevention and health.

Sugarella winery: Youth to the Rescue!

Meet the young Mattia in his vineyards.

He will convey the passion for his work while you taste the wines he produces.

On the border between Umbria and Tuscany, Mattia will take you to discover his vineyard, where his grapes grow, and then move on to the cellar, where he will show you all the phases of the winemaking and production process. Here you can choose whether to taste them outdoors on a lovely terrace overlooking Cortona and the surrounding landscape, or inside the tasting room.
