At the beginning of the last century, during the construction of the connecting road between Villastrada and Pozzuolo, one of the most important archaeological discoveries in the area came to light: the Etruscan tomb of Paradiso, halfway between Gioiella and Vaiano.
Inside the burial, chronologically collocated around the 2nd century BC, two cinerary urns with lids were found, with inscriptions in Etruscan character, , along with two amphorae and some fragments of funerary equipment.
This splendid example of a Hellenistic-style funerary structure is considered one of the most interesting tombs in the area between Umbria and Tuscany.
A 3D set of the ancient funerary equipment is shown at the Antiquarium in the Corgna Palace.
