Built in the thirteenth century in Umbrian Romanesque style, completely frescoed, it stands on the top of Isola Maggiore.
The importance of the church is linked precisely to the paintings it houses, and which make it one of the richest and most interesting buildings in the Trasimeno area from a historical and artistic point of view. The most noteworthy work is a wooden crucifix from the 15th century, a valuable work by the painter Bartolomeo Caporali.
