Located inside the Medieval Fortress, the Museum of Boats is an interesting exposition of boats and equipment typical not only of Lake Trasimeno, but also of other Italian inland waters.
Outside, there is the reconstruction of the “Barchetto del Gorro”, characterized by the large trawl and used until the 1930s. The most important pieces are the monossil boats, entirely carved out of a single tree trunk, found in Passignano around the 13th century.
The finds are accompanied by thematic panels that allow a linguistic, historical and archaeological reading.
