Safeguarding the past to better face present and future.
A project to keep alive the memory of knowledge, practices and ways of living of the farming world.
Housed inside the so-called Casa del Contadino (Farmer’s House), the Museum of Peasant Civilization is adjacent to the Church of San Felice Papa. The furnishings and objects contained preserve intact the memory of rural life, with its habits and traditions by now faded, while thanks to the workshops dedicated to young and old, it is possibile to live practical and fun creative experiences.
In the spaces of the former sacristy a library has been created which houses a collection of about 800 volumes, all coming from the personal collection of the parish priest Don Remo Serafini. Texts of local Umbrian history and traditions, ethnomusicology, linguistics, photography, hagiography, collections of fairy tales, legends and folk tales.

The church of San Felice Papa is located on a hill about 300 meters from the town of Sanfatucchio, surrounded by cypresses and the gentle landscape of the Umbrian hills. The construction dates back to the 13th-14th century, as evidenced by the architectural style and the presence of a fresco dating back to that period.
The church consists of a single nave with a rectangular plan, with a red brick facade in neo-Gothic style, two small side chapels and a wooden ceiling with large tables.
