Lambardi Tower

Historical place Museum / place of art

The Lambardi Tower, from its position on high dominates the town and plain below. The present-day Knights of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta built it at the turn of the 12th and 13th centuries.

The possession of the Tower of the Pian di Carpine was very important to manage the food supply, especially fish coming from the Lake Trasimeno. Quadrangular building about thirty meters high, it has an internal structure divided into three floors, with a terrace at the top accessible by stairs or internal lift. It qualifies as a modern exhibition centre.
