Bell towers and the characteristic chiming of their bells are the landmarks of a typical Italian landscape and they are familiar to local communities.
Built during the years straddling the 1700s and 1800s, the bell tower is one of the landmarks of Paciano. It dominates the Piazza della Repubblica in the old town centre. The three bells and the clock are still working and are well preserved. The bell tower is the subject of a preservation project within the Art Bonus programme.
