Casa di Boldrino da Panicale

Casa di Boldrino da Panicale

Historical place

Between San Michele square and Via Boldrino Paneri, there is a 13th century building which was the birthplace of  the condottiere Boldrino Paneri who lived in the second half of the 14th century. The façade has three coats of arms: two of the Boldrino family and the third belongs to the Della Corgna family who lived in the building. The first coat of arms represents a table with three loaves (emblem of the Paneri) and a horseshoe with a nail in the centre with the letter B (the noble emblem of Boldrino). The Paneri coat of arms appears for the second time on the right of a window.
