The first stone of the small Church of San Giovanni Battista was laid on June 20, 1763 by the parish priest of Sant’Arcangelo, Don Girolamo Tramontani, under which a brick was placed with the engraved “a wax Agnus Dei and a brass medal with the imprint of St. John baptizing the Lord “on one side, while on the other an image of the Madonna with the Angel Gabriel. Above the altar, there is a painting by Antonio Maria Garbi, dated 1763 and depicting the Holy Family with Jesus blessing the little Saint John the Baptist presented by Sant’Anna.
