Overlooking the main square of Borghetto, the church is documented since 916 in a Berengario diploma, while the current architectural layout dates back to the 14th century.
A small bell gable rises above the back wall. The façade is enriched by a sundial made up of terracotta tiles.

In front of the church a beautiful fountain was erected dedicated to the fishermen of the lake.
