Throughout Panicale there are buildings of historical, architectural and artistic value.Along via Caporali you will find the “Cesare Caporali” Theater, one of the smallest in Italy, completely  redesigned by Giovanni Caproni (1856). After a major restoration it reopened in 1994 and can accommodate up to 140 spectators. The theater yearly hosts seasons of prose, operas, concerts. The street ends with a characteristic vault and opens onto Piazza Umberto I. Here you can see fountain with the well (1473) marked by the furrows of the ropes _for fulling up the buckets of water, collected in the ancient cisterns.
The coats of arms wich are carved on the fountain are both of Panicale and Perugia as mark of their alliance of that time. The bulk of the Collegiate Church of San Michele Arcangelo, which houses the valuable “Adoration of the shepherds” _painted by G.B. Caporali (1519), dominates the square.
Porta Perugina, remodeled in the 19th century, leads out of the center towards  the Town Hall and the church of San Sebastiano.
