The clay handling is an activity with a strong narrative value, typical of the origins of the human culture and as so is proposed at this laboratory, as a process of rediscovering of an identity.

The recipe of the pottery art presents two different aspects, apparently contrasting. On one hand, thanks to the ductility of the clay, it can release the imagination of each one of us, even the most wild. On the other hand, it needs the strict respect of precise techniques and the right use of different tools (lancet, sculpting tools, lathe, cutter, ecc…). Only then, the product of one own fantasy can pass through the oven-test and become actual pottery, that is clay material handled and transformed through the fire.

The experience includes:

• Visit to the Terrarte laboratory.
• Participation to a brief pottery course. The course is divided in two phases: one theoretical, during which you will learn about the working and decoration technique of the pottery, and another practical, where you can try to decorate a wall plate, finishing with the glaze and the preparation for the cooking.

After 4 days, you can pick up the plate after the cooking at the lab, or we will provide the shipping with an agreed cost.
