The Saffron House finds its ideal space in the old cellars of an ancient building in the historic center of Città della Pieve, a unique project that will lead you into the fascinating world of saffron and its multiple uses that have their roots in a passed away from cooking to dyeing, from painting to cosmetics.

An underground path divided into thematic areas made of history, passion, taste and the secrets never revealed of the famous “red gold”.

The experience includes:

• Visit and Tasting with baked goods, cheeses with saffron honey, bruschetta with extra virgin olive oil accompanied by a glass of red wine IGT Umbria (100% Cabernet Sauvignon) produced by the company and a taste of handcrafted liqueur and grappa flavored with saffron.
• Visit to the urban saffron field – the only one in italy – built by the saffron producers Consortium of Città della Pieve, in the historic center in the “Seminary Garden” (about 200 meters from the Saffron House).
