Housed on the noble floor of Palazzo della Corgna, in the center of Città della Pieve, the museum is made up of collections of mineral samples, rocks, fossils, plant and animal preparations and scientific instruments. Also visible are precious herbaria, entomological boxes, a collection of vegetable seeds, a set of woody species and taxidermized vertebrates.
The collections are mainly the result of the activity of the geologist Antonio Verri and the agronomist Paolo De Simone, who worked in Città della Pieve area between the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
