Church of San Pietro

Church of San Pietro

Church

On the highest part of the town, the small church of San Pietro was built during the XIII century in honor to Saint Antonio Abate and hosted the Brotherhood dei Disciplinati di San Salvatore.
Inside the church there is an important fresco made by the maximum exponent of the Umbrian painting Pietro Vannucci, called Il Perugino, in 1508. The paint represents Saint Antonio Abate between the Saints Paolo Eremita and Marcello.
